Hi there!
I was curios about buff control problem on Dell laptops for any time. The thing is, that Dingle on most of their laptops put on't earmark dominant fans via Embedded Controller (EC) as Notebook Fan Master service program bash. The only way to control fans is over SMM. HWinfo64 and SpeedFan have such an option, only in most cases scope up tradition lover speed sequent in fight between EC and the program - EC sets its own values for fan prior to program values. The only direction to Be able to control fans with software is to turn EC thermal direction (tm) feature bump off. Back in times, on Dingle Precision M6500 and older there was a keys combination that could raise EC menu where you could turn fountain management off. Simply the trouble is - there is no compiled binaries, only source cypher. First thing I did, recovered his email in part log and asked him to share final binaries, because I'm not rather man WHO is into compiling under Windows. After day of waiting, I've decided to compile it aside myself and yeah, I spent reasonable quantity of time till I got final "product" - but IT's totally worth it. A act meter later, the Dev contacted with me and kindly shared his precompiled binaries. But overall, on that point are all binaries connected my hands and they are working perfectly on my Precision M4600. And since I have AMD GPU on it, my laptop computer can't align fan speeds supported it's temps - EC is basically reads temps from Intel GPU chip instead of AMD (and most interesting part is that Intel GPU soured off). This root really helped Pine Tree State a lot

Let's do some thaumaturgy and take charge over the fans and unopen this damn European Community thermal management down. But in front that you need to wrench off driver signature check or enable testsigning mode with the following command nether CMD with administrative privileges:

bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING Along

After successfully place setting testsigning manner you should boot.

Here is the GUI of the secondary. Basically, it tush monitor/set your fans speeds and disable EC control. The utility configured to run on Windows 10 x64 and x86 systems so it might non process older versions of Windows.

Honestly, lav't evidence you anything about that honourable now, coz I'm non at national put away and feature tested this root remotely. But Dev said, that complete shutdown then power connected should work.

I can't baffle testsigning mode enabled... for both reason it won't permit me disable dependable boot yet though it says I disabled it in bios.

Hey rightful inquisitive how I can get this to work?
I own a m4600 with a quadro 2000m, 2860qm mainframe I have gestural the driver and loaded the dell inferior app after I disable it doesn't look to practice anything? what do I coiffe next? thanks

Ok so information technology seems to work through victimization fan control, the dell sports fan utility app itself doesn't seem to turn with controlling the speeds though.
Do you have any recommended settings to use with the m4600?
also do you know if we derriere upgrade our video cards on these laptops from what I've read since I take the IPS screen I can't upgrade past the 2000m is that right? thanks

Thank you so much for this tool I had Linux on my m4600 a couple of weeks back for my IT study, I knew there was a tool to make this all work inside Linux but not windows I had been looking online for this fix for ages.
I've had my m4600 since the start of 2022 and know this laptop!, so happy to find this tool!.
1 question though I can only manage speeds of 0,2500,4900 null in between is that normal? seems to run great at 2500rpm on all the time, toilet this be adjusted to 3000rpm?.
Also I read that link you dispatched I sustain bits and pieces of that thread before, my main question is can I run nonpareil of these 5100 amd cards on my m4600 with the IPS projection screen or is the cable and motherboard not exit to Army of the Pure that happen and I'm stuck at with the 2000m? thanks!

Ok so I launch 1 trouble with this setup, even with major power management in spite of appearanc windows 10 hardened to non turn off when it has been ide for for a while it shuts down the data processor, which is strange maybe the bios can't restraint talk to the OS anymore to do with the power management and just shuts Down when information technology notices it has been ide...

The mode i got this to work was to extend the following in admin command prompt Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING Along reboot run the fan utility as admin handicap ec then close the program. Doing this will allow speed fan to take over wish run through reboots but non shutdown. Wee-wee sure you have speed fan apparatus aright to control your fans. You also may postulate to handicap number one wood signing via civilized inauguration to get the driver to install happening first run. Would be nice for the utility to save its form so one could make a regular task to campaign connected login.
